Mirman was interested in opening the used motorcycle showroom named “Michelle Motor”. He could open the showroom because of his experiences of working in Motorcycle dealers in Pontianak.
“Michelle Motor” showroom gets some units of used motorcycle from Mirman’s friend in Pontianak and then he sent it to Balai Karangan. Mirman got some profits from the business. Mirman said that, “We can sell a good motorcycle with cheaper prices on the contrary we can sell it expensive”. In a month, Mirman admitted that he could sell 50 – 60 units of motorcycle, the total number motorcycle in and out are balanced.
Mirman has ever deceived by the costumers who he trusted. “I have changed the strategy not to be deceived from them. I used “Cash Tempo” strategy, costumer come here and pay an advance, besides that I need their identity card which include their address. For example, we buy the used motorbike 7 million and we sell it 8 million, so costumers must pay 7 million and the remaining they could pay for the motorbike by installments”.
Mirman added that in doing his business the role of the Credit Union was very important. He felt Credit Union advantages were not only for business capital but also for his colleagues to promote his motorbike and distribute to the costumers. “There are customers from Credit Union members who buy my used motorbike”, he said.
