World Council Announces Youth Agricultural Program in Kenya
World Council of Credit Unions recently signed an agreement through its Cooperative Development Program (CDP) with Beverly School of Kenya (BSK), a private boarding school in rural Kenya, to implement an agricultural program that encourages and educates youth to view as a means of income. Finance Minister Calls on Credit Unions to Lend More
FINANCE Minister Michael Noonan has called on the credit union movement to increase lending to consumers. He said this would help grow the economy, and stressed that some credit unions have had large amounts of money put into them by members that could be lent out.
